February 15, 1999 Computer Takes 94% of Calls Initial results are in for Wilder Engineering's aircraft reservation system installed at the Denver Air Route Traffic Control Center. It's a success. Since going on-line nearly 2 months ago, the system has handled nearly 4,000 reservations for Denver's Ski Country airports. Pilots are required to make reservations when flying into Aspen, Eagle, and Rifle airports during the peak ski season. Although pilots are given the option to make reservations "the old fashion way" by calling a human, nearly 94% of the pilots flying into the Denver area airports have elected to use the simple interface of the Wilder Engineering system to make their reservations. It is faster, it is available 24 hours per day, and you never have to wait on hold to speak with a Traffic Management Specialist.
Wilder Engineering has a strong relationship with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The FAA uses a system built by Wilder Engineering for more than 300,000 transactions per year, including reservations for important Special Traffic Management Programs such as the Superbowl, the Indianapolis 500, and the upcoming Olympics in Salt Lake City, UT.
